"I bring the Waves world into everything I do - from the creative realm in inventive mode to mixing."

Junior Sanchez Sanchez is a NYC-based DJ/Producer/Remixer. Early in his career, Junior promoted parties for famed New York nightspots Limelight and Shelter. As a member of the NASA (Nocturnal Audio Sensory Awakening) babies, a collective of young DJs and party promoters, Junior became well known within the New York club scene. “The New York underground enlightened me and expanded my understanding of house music, more minimal-based dance and techno.”
He has produced numerous worldwide club hits including “Rock Your Body,” “Understand Me,” and “B with U.” He has remixed artists as diverse as Gorillaz, The Bravery, Madonna, Kill Hannah, and Shakira. In addition, he has mixed compilations for EMI and System Recordings, produced artists including Ima Robot, Morningwood, and Moving Units, and has collaborated with high profile artists including Armand Van Helden, Felix Da Housecat, and Stuart Price.
Junior headlines clubs and festivals around the world as a DJ. His latest compilation,
Onelove: Smash Your Stereo, where Junior mixes one of a three-disc set, is available now.

“A must. I use Renaissance Compressor (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1785) on virtually everything. It’s amazing!”
“Without question, MaxxBass (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1773) is one of my favorites, especially for when I need those really low frequencies on certain tones or loops.”
“I use Renaissance Equalizer (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1787) all day every day. Since a lot of my work is done in the box, it’s between this gem and the G-EQ (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1793) from the Waves SSL 4000 Collection (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1721).”
“MondoMod (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1776) is a unique plugin because it gives things a texture of panning and just roaming around. I use it a lot on vocals and certain drum stems, mainly on percussion.”
“Sibilance (all the sharp S, F, SH and CH sounds that vocalists have going on when you track them) annoys the crap out of me and I am sure many of you as well. For all the young producers, use DeEsser (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1760) to really learn about sibilance—and get rid of it. It’s a must for any hands-on engineer or producer.”
“The Q10 (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1780) is a monster, and super-accurate.”
“Like the classic Waves L1 and L2, the L3 Ultramaximizer (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1770) is fantastic! Nowadays, a lot of dance/electronic music is not being mastered by professional mastering engineers, so many dance producers are doing it themselves. When you do what I call ‘Waves Mastering,’ it can make your music sound HUGE without losing your headroom!”
“The classic EQ from the legendary SSL console is used by everyone, like Chris Lord-Alge, Tom Lord-Alge, Bob Clearmountain, Andy Wallace, and Spike Stent. With the SSL 4000 G-Channel (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=8458), young producers and aspiring engineers can now have that same sound that was, until now, exclusive to expensive studios and huge album budgets.”
“Like the G-EQ, the SSL 4000 G-Master Buss Compressor (http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=1794) is an essential, whether for rock, pop or electronic, it gives you a nice punch throughout your mix. It’s like having an SSL G or a J9000 console in your own home. Awesome!”
